| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Blow Dry |
An entertaining little film from the UK, Blow Dry is about a man, Phil (Rickman), and his son (Hartnett) who own a salon in a small town in Britain. A long time ago, he lost his wife (Richardson) to their model (Giffiths) who they competed with in styling competitions. Now, the competitions are to be held in the small town, bringing with it a whole new group of people, including Phil's long time rival, Ray Robertson. Ray brings with him his young daughter (Cook) who soon falls in love with Phil's son. Phil doesn't want to enter the competition because of his loss of his wife to a woman. But his son enters and he now has no choice but to help him.
