Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Same Old Song
SAME OLD SONG (On Connaît la Chanson) is a movie directed by Alain Resnais in 1997. The picture won the Prix Louis Delluc and seven french Academy Awards and was nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear.

The original idea of the movie is to insert well known tunes of french popular songs in the middle of the dialog and the action.

Camille falls in love with the real estate agent Lambert Wilson and Wilson's employee Simon falls in love with Camille. Soon Camille suffers from a nervous breakdown which will bring her closer to Simon. Several little plots involving Odile, Camille's sister, who buys an apartment from Wilson and Nicolas, the hypochondriac ex-boy friend of Odile, complete this Resnais masterpiece.
