Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Rumble Fish
RUMBLE FISH is a movie cowritten (with S.E. Hinton) and directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1983.

Rusty James is the leader of a dying gang. He idolizes his brother, The Motorcycle Boy, who was once the respected chief of a local gang The Packers. TMB has left the city for two months now and Rusty James greatly misses him. When MTB finally returns from California, he's changed. Besides his physical disabilities -he doesn't see colours and is half deaf- the Motorcycle Boy seems disillusioned and disconnected from the reality. During three days, he'll try to convince Rusty James of the futility of the life his young brother has chosen to live.
