Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Spetters
SPETTERS is a movie directed by Paul Verhoeven in 1980.

The story is about three friends trying to break through in the motorcross (dirt-bike) world championship. They make the acquaintance of Fientje, a sexy young girl looking for a way to get out of her low condition. She believes that Rien has got the best chances to become a known racer and sticks by him negotiating (with the help of her body) a contract with the japanese. But Rien has an accident and becomes paraplegic. Fientje turns then to Eef, the second of the friends, but Eef, after a brutal rape, discovers his latent homosexuality. Will Hans, the last of the three friends, be the one who will fulfill Fientje's lust for money ?
