| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Willard |
A strange loner discovers rats in his basement. He befriends a small white rat, but is at odds with a huge brown rat. The man trains the rats to do his bidding. He orders them to vandalize his boss' car. When his boss finally fires him it pushes him over the edge. Led by the giant one, the rats attack and kill his boss. With the rats having done what he wanted, the man tries to end his relationship with them. However, the huge rat is now in charge of the others and he leads them to attack the man. The rats fail to kill the man, but they drive him into the insane asylum.
