| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Shanghai Knights |
Jackie Chan plays Chon Wang (pronounced to sound like John Wayne), a cowboy in the Wild West. Owen Wilson plays Roy O'Bannon, onetime cowboy, now New York gigolo. This is a sequel to the movie Shanghai Noon with the same characters. Chon Wang (the Shanghai Kid) is notified that his father in China has been killed and his sister has gone to London to track down the killer. Chon Wang enlists the help of his friend Roy O'Bannon, a dime-novel writer who made up stories about himself. They both have reputations as "gunfighters" from the old west, but neither seemed to have earned that reputation. The events are a comedy of errors as they try to track down the killer and stop him before he unleashes an evil plot against the British royal crown.
