Matthew Modine, an actor with severe alcohol and drugs problems, is consulting a psychiatrist because he can't accept that Béatrice Dalle, his girlfriend of 5 years, has left him. Furthermore, Modine is persuaded that he has committed a murder while on drugs but suffers from a mental blackout on this particular event.
