Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Jubilee
JUBILEE is an english movie directed by Derek Jarman in 1977.

This cult picture, theatrically released during the british punk music period, describes the life in a city of London where law and order don't exist anymore. This apocalyptic vision appears in front of the very eyes of Elizabeth I who has asked her magician to show her the future of England.
We are invited to follow a few days of the life of a gang of young punk girls who slash the men they encounter. Buckingham Palace has become a recording studio and the police forces the fascist arm of an invisible government.

--Daniel Staebler, Resident Scholar
