Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Sally Hemmings
Sally Hemmings, starring Sam Neill as Thomas Jefferson and Carmen Ejogo as Jefferson's sister-in-law and slave mistress, is the story of the nearly three decade along love affair between Jefferson and Hemmings. The tragedy of slavery and racism hindered the love of two people who remained devoted to each other for the remainder of their lives.
