| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about National Lampoon's European Vacation |
Of the three classic National Lampoon vacation movies, this is the funniest! This time, the Griswolds go on a game show and win a European vacation. Then they put their own Griswold twist on the vacation, and they nearly screw things up when they visit who they think are their German relatives, not knowing the real relatives live further down the street. The ending features the airplane crashing into the Statue of Liberty's torch on their return trip to America.
