| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit |
This movie is a feel good movie, showing Deloris VanCartier (Goldberg) back as Sister Mary Clarence's struggle to tame the unruly music class of St. Francis Academy. It is very funny at times, Goldberg at her best. They enter the All State Music Competition (1993)and the results are pleasing! It is very satisfying to see the class grow as singers.

This time, Whoopi Goldberg is in charge of the children's choir at a Catholic school. She enters the kids in a choral competition in Los Angeles, and does so with her own brand of song. As in the first, it's a feel-good religious comedy. Kathy Najimy and Maggie Smith return, and if you look closely, you'll find a black girl who would eventually become a singing superstar in her own right, the Fugees' Lauryn Hill.
