| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Swindle (1997) |
THE SWINDLE (Rien ne va plus) is a movie written and directed by Claude Chabrol in 1997.
Betty and Victor are two small crooks who are haunting luxury hotels, looking for future victims. Now Betty has made the acquaintance of François Cluzet, the treasurer of an international group. Cluzet is on the verge of stealing from his employer during his next flight to the Caribbeans by disappearing with his wallet containing more than $2,000,000. Betty, persuaded that this is the unique opportunity of her life to become rich, proposes to Victor to find a way to rob the robber Cluzet.
