Review Summary and Plot Commentary about I Fidanzati
I FIDANZATI, also known as "The Fiances" or "The Engagement", is a movie written and directed by Ermanno Olmi in 1962.

Giovanni and Liliana live in Milan, a city in the northern part of Italy. They're engaged for years now so when Giovanni is given the opportunity by his employer to work on a site in Sicily, Liliana is afraid to lose him. But, on the contrary, the distance will strengthen their love as they tackle in their letters subjects never discussed before between them.
