Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Betty (1992)
Based on a Georges Simenon novel, BETTY is a movie written and directed by Claude Chabrol in 1992.

Betty, dead drunk after a wild night in the bars of Paris, is taken in by Stéphane Audran, a middle-aged woman who uses to go every night in "Le Trou", a restaurant where Betty has ended her journey. The next days, Audran takes care of Betty and kindly listens to the young woman. Betty has just been forced to leave her husband and her daughters after having been caught cheating on him home. She confesses to Audran that she never felt well in the company of her husband's family and began cheating on him a few days after the marriage. She's also slowly become an alcoholic during this period.
