| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Pocahontas |
Pocahontas is a high spirited Native American princess who falls in love with a British settler named John Smith, thus inciting hatred between her tribe and his shipmates. She manages to teach the two groups about tolerance and equality.

Everybody knows the story of how an Indian princess named Pocahontas meets an explorer named John Smith when he lands in what is the present-day Virginia and the two fall in love. That story is beautifully retold in one of the most recent Disney classics. The animation is top-notch, something Disney has always done well, and the film is beautifully scored throughout. At the end, you'll hear Vanessa Williams sing the trademark hit song Colors of the Wind.
