| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Things of Life |
THINGS OF LIFE (Les Choses de la Vie) is a movie directed by Claude Sautet in 1969. The picture was nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival and won the 1970 Louis Delluc prize. It was remade as "Intersection" in Hollywood by Mark Rydell in 1994 with Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in the main characters.
On his way to a business lunch, the architect Michel Piccoli has a terrible car accident. In a semi-comatose condition, Piccoli remembers the recent events of his life: his relations with Romy Schneider with whom he should leave France and begin a new life in Tunisia, his ex-wife Léa Massari he still appreciates, and the happy times he share with his son.
