Review Summary and Plot Commentary about You Only Live Once
YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE is a movie directed by Fritz Lang in 1937.

Eddie, a career criminal, is leaving the penitentiary. The same day, he marries Joan, the secretary of his lawyer who's fallen in love with him three years before. Filled with hope, Eddie wants to start a new life but things are not so easy as everybody remind him of his past as a convict.

When the police finds Eddie's hat at the scene of a bank robbery, the innocent Eddie is soon arrested and condemned to the electric chair. The day of his execution, Eddie manages to escape while the authorities are just declaring him innocent. It's too late for Eddie who's killed a priest during his escape.

Joan decides to share Eddie's destiny. For the young married couple begins a tragic journey through the U.S. with all the police forces right behind them.
