| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Veronika Voss |
VERONIKA VOSS (Die Sehnsucht der Veronika Voss) is a movie cowritten and directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder in 1982. The picture won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
One evening, Robert Krohn, a sports journalist, meets the former movie star Veronika Voss. Intrigued by her behaviour, Robert will go on seeing her. Veronika has become a drug addict who's unable to accept that she's no more the star she was ten years before. Robert will also discover that Veronika's psychiatrist, the doctor Katz, is giving her morphine on a daily basis and, systematically, dispossesses Veronika from her last goods.
