Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Claire's Knee
CLAIRE'S KNEE (Le Genou de Claire) is a movie written and directed by Eric Rohmer in 1970. The picture won the 1971 Louis Delluc Prize.

Jerome, 35 years old, is on the verge of getting married. His friend Aurora, a writer, asks him to flirt with the 16 years old Laura who seems to have fallen in love with him. Jerome, persuaded that no woman can seduce him because of his love for his future wife, accepts.

But soon Laura is not interested anymore in him and Jérôme begins to notice the beauty of Laura's sister, Claire. The mocking Aurora observes how Jérôme is dealing with his moral dilemma.
