| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about June Night |
JUNE NIGHT (Juninatten) is a Swedish movie written and directed by Per Lindberg in 1940. This is the last movie made by Ingrid Bergman in Sweden before her Hollywood career began.
After having almost been shot to death in the chest by a frustrated lover, Kerstin has to spend months recovering in a hospital and finally attending a trying trial.
She decides then to change her name and to leave her hometown in order to live in Stockholm. There, she will fall in love with her new friend Asa's fiancé, the professor Von Bremen. But her wound isn't totally healed yet and Kerstin has to deal with the reappearance of her former lover.
