Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Special Agent (1935)
A government agent (George Brent) goes undercover as a friendly reporter to get the goods on an elusive, but ruthless gangster (Ricardo Cortez). He plays up to the gangster by offering to give him a good press, and romances the crime czar's book-keeper (Bette Davis) in order to steal files and gather information. Unfortunately, he falls in love with the girl.
