Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Klute
A father of the family goes missing and Klute (Donald Sutherland) volunteers to look for his wayward friend.

Klute is a private investigator but his search leads to a woman in New York. He has to find the woman who has been receiving dirty letters and phone calls from someone they believe to be his missing friend.

Klute soon discovers Bree (Jane Fonda) a call girl, who does not remember the man in question as faces all roll into one in her line of business. As she eventually helps Klute on his search they discover that his friend could be the same man who tried to beat her up the previous year.

Does Klute save Bree from the psychotic stalker? Will they trust one another enough to form a relationship? Is the stalker his friend? If not where is Klute's friend?
