Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Lies (1999)
LIES (Gojitmal) is a Korean movie written and directed by Sun-Woo Jang in 1999. This picture was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.

"Y" is an 18 years old student who falls in love with her best friend's lover, the 38 years old sculptor "J". "J"'s wife is in Paris, attending the university.

Firstly, "J" teaches the until then virgin "Y" the basics of physical love. Later, he introduces her to the joys of whipping. Soon, pain and love become the inseparable companions of their encounters.
