Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Confidence
What happens when a grafter gets grifted? That's the idea behind this stylish caper film starring Ed Burns as Jake Vig, a confident confidence man who picks the wrong mark. The victim of his latest con has used someone else's stolen money for his own scheme, leaving The King (Hoffman), a sadistic pervert of a kingpin, without his money and one of his crew dead. It gets better.

King traps Jake into another grift with the mark of his choosing -- an influential rival. Enter a beautiful pickpocket named Lily (Weisz) who turns his head as well as Butan (Garcia), a federal agent he's already tried to bribe and failed.
