| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training |
The Bad News Bears of 1976 go, coachless, to Houston so that they can play in an exhibition game. While there, Kelly Leak (the Fonzie of the team) looks up his dad who abandoned the family when he was a kid. The Bears take on a local little league team and, this time, win! Kelly and his father make a general reconciliation, as well. This movie probably tried harder than the original "Bears" but for all the work, it doesn't have the soul or casual empathy.
