Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Clear and Present Danger
Harrison Ford stars as Jack Ryan in the third movie made from a Tom Clancy novel. This story involves Ryan being made National Security Advisor. He uncovers the United States fighting an illegal war in South America. The twist is that he was the one who got funding from Congress for what he thought was merely going to be training for Columbian police, so he's ultimately responsible. He teams up with John Clark (Dafoe) to fight not only the cartel (which has taken Americans prisoner) but members of his own government.
