| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Pump Up the Volume |
Christian Slater is a shy and awkward high school student who starts up his own pirate radio station to vent his frustration at being at a new high school. The lovely Samantha Mathis stars as the vivacious Nora who tries to hunt down the man behind the voice on her radio. Mark Hunter (Slater) soon finds the popularity of his show skyrocketing. But when another student kills himself and Hunter's radio show is blamed, the principal cracks down severely and the student finds himself on the run from the government.
