| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Jamaica Inn |
Based on a Daphne Du Maurier novel, JAMAICA INN is a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1939.
Robert Newton, a police officer, and Maureen O'Hara, discover that the Jamaica Inn is a den of criminals who organize shipwrecks near the dangerous Cornwall coast. The crews of the ships are then slaughtered and the freights stolen.
Newton and O'Hara will trust at first the landlord Charles Laughton to help them but it'll soon appear that big Charles is the mastermind of the gang.
