| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Wild Boys of the Road |
In the 1930's depression, teenage boys and girls leave home to make their own way in the world and to take the burden off their parents. Travelling by train & foot, they rarely find any work and starve most of the way, and one character loses a leg in the process. Eventually arrested, the three main characters are sent to court, where a sympathetic judge sends them back unpunished, giving them recommendations for jobs and a more hopeful future.
