| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Grind |
This is a hilarious skater movie. It is similar to the video game Thug: Underground in that it is about some skateboard hopefuls trying to wedge their way into the industry, fame, and fortune. The makeshift team is comprised of the geek, the comic relief, the cool guy, and the player. They decide to take a road trip the summer after graduation, following around a famous and successful skater, attempting to get his attention and get sponsored. There are lots of laughs, hot girls, and antics that make this film a lot of fun, along with cameos by Bam Margera, Burnquist, and Mike Vallee (some real-life skating superstars). All in all, a hilarious and fun movie for anyone into the skating scene.
