| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Spartacus |
Spartacus, an slave in ancient Rome is sent to gladiator training; though there is a great chance of death in the arena, gladiators have a chance for freedom. He encourages a slave revolt, a struggle to eradicate slavery and bring down the decadent Roman Empire. Though they do not succeed, and Spartacus is crucified after being captured, he remains legendary.
