| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Laura |
Private investigator Marc McPherson looks into the murder of Laura, who died before the film begins. Strangely, he falls in love with the dead woman through her beautiful oil painting hanging in her apartment. He investigates her lover/benefactor Waldo Lydecker and another man who may or may not have been her lover. Why would a woman whom every man falls in love with be murdered, and is the dead body really Laura at all?
