| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Pat and Mike |
Pat, a college athletic instructor, is a great athlete herself. Though excellent at tennis, golf, and many other sports, she becomes nervous and self-conscious when her domineering fiance watches her. She is discovered by Mike Conovan, who has questionable connections to criminals and illegal gambling, and he becomes her promoter. What begins as a great working relationship turns to love and they eventually face their challenges as equals, not as simply promoter-employer.
