| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Bombshell |
Lola Burns, a Hollywood movie star, is disenchanted with her lifestyle. The fake name, publicity for business purposes, and her relatives and boyfriends hitting her up for money make her feel meaningless. While she wants to adopt a baby, one who would give her unconditional love, her publicity agent is determined to keep her wholesome to increase box-office receipts. When she disappears in a desert resort, she is accosted by a man claiming to be her husband, all concocted by her publicity man, making this film a rather cynical look at the golden age of the Hollywood studio system.
