| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Good Fairy |
A young woman from a Budapest orphanage leaves to become a movie theater usherette. Her extreme innocence attracts a meat-packing millionaire, and to keep him from forcing his advances on her she claims she is married. She points to a name in the phone book, a struggling lawyer Dr. Sporum, claims to be his wife, and gets the rich millionaire to hire him, not knowing Sporum is supposed to be the fake husband, and tries to get him to woo her away from this "husband" she keeps mentioning. Sporum and the young woman eventually fall for one another in this convoluted romantic triangle.
