Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Pallbearer
Tom Thompson (Schwimmer) is a college grad with no job whose social life is practically non existent- that is until he's asked to be a pallbearer at the funeral of a classmate he can't even remember! As Tom attempts to remember the deceased he also must fend off the advances of the grieving mother (Hershey) and win the heart of the girl, Julie (Paltrow) whom he adored all through high school. Unfortunately Julie is having a difficult time remembering Tom. The first time they see each other after many years she gets him mixed up with another "Tom" from their school days!
