| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Life or Something Like It |
Lanie Kerrigan (Jolie) is a feature reporter at a Seattle TV station who leads a life of superficiality with her work always being her top priority. Her perfect life begins to unravel when a homeless street seer (Shalboub) informs Lanie that she leads a meaningless existence and has only a few short days left to live. At first passing him off as insane, Lanie begins to take a serious look at her life and her priorities when his other predictions come true. All at once the cameraman (Burns) with whom Lanie has long been at odds with, begins to look good to her. He in turn, likes the new Lanie.
