A middle-aged restaurant owner and chef named Sammy Horn (Des Barres) is living a double life. He is a devoted family man who loves his wife Grace (Arquette) and his son very much but he's also a self-confessed sex addict who seeks pleasure with any woman, any time. In his free moments he goes in search of his necessary sexual fix. He reveals his secret to his therapist (Kinski) when feelings of guilt and self loathing begin tearing him apart inside and interfering with his day to day life. When his wife catches him in bed with another woman and threatens to leave him, Sammy must make a decision- stop bedding down other women or lose his wife and son for good.
