| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl |
Based on the comic of the same name, Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl is a quirky film in which two very different people run into each other while escaping bad circumstances. Toshiko is escaping a bad job with a crazed boss who has embezzled her life savings. She works in a mountain hotel/resort and is driving away clandestinely when she literally runs into Samehada, a man on the run from a crazy Yakuza-like gang of criminals.
