| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Follow the Stars Home (TV) |
Dianne Parker (Williams) is friends with quiet and sensitive pediatrician David McCune (Scott) but upon meeting his charming brother Mark (Close), she falls for him instantly. Mark and Dianne get married and are thrilled when Dianne becomes pregnant. However Mark walks out on his wife after learning that their baby will be born with severe genetic abnormalities.
Dianne is dedicated to having her baby and determined to do whatever it takes to care for her to the best of her ability. After the baby is born Dianne moves back in with her mother Hannah (Brown), and together the two women love and care for Julia (Fein). David loves his sister-in-law but keeps his feelings for her to himself. He helps with the challenges of raising Julia and offers assistance in whatever way he can, including acting as her doctor.
For six years Mark is gone from his wife's life yet he reappears suddenly when she is struck by a car and professes his love for her. He wants another chance. Dianne still has feelings for her husband but is also drawn to the loving, nurturing nature of his quieter more unassuming brother. David has been there since Julia was born, Mark has not. Dianne finds herself needing time to recover from her car crash, spend precious time with her daughter and finally choose between two brothers who both love her. She chooses wisely and the three of them, David, Dianne and Julia begin their life together.
