| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Suppose They Gave a War and Nobody Came? |
Three accident-prone soldiers are stationed at a U.S. Army base near a small Southern town that just wishes the Army would go away. The military guys try to give their employer a good name with the hostile rednecks in town, but strained relations eventually reach the breaking point when they arrive at a dance riding a tank. This farcical 1970 film scores some satirical points about the Vietnam War, sexism, and racism, and the acting is not bad. It sometimes airs on network TV under the title "War Games."
