To raise enough money to get his brother freed, Johnny agrees to play against Brad.
Joe wants to play for big money so Johnny's girlfriend's uncle, Mike, who's rich and who's bet on Johnny before agrees to back him.
After several games of back and forth, Joe wants to raise the stakes to twenty thousand.
However, Mike proposes a bet of over eighty thousand. After some hesitation Joe agrees.
The game comes down to the last shot, where Johnny tricks Brad with a small time con, makes the shot and wins the game.
