Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Hyderabad Blues
Varun Naidu (Nagesh Kukunoor) returns to India on a vacation after 12 years in the United States. Before he goes back, his parents want him to marry the girl of their choice, Ashwini (Rajshri Nair). However, Varun realizes that he is as much an alien in his country of birth as he was in his adopted homeland. It's one hilarious episode after another as he struggles to get used to the idea of an arranged marriage and many such social customs and traditions. But in the end, he falls in love and more importantly, finds his roots. This Indian film is in English and is an out and out comedy.
