| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about I Saw What You Did |
Two bored teens (Lane and Garrett) decide to have some fun while babysitting and choose to make random prank phone calls. The caller hears the whispered phrase "I saw what you did, and I know who you are!" This causes Steve Marek (Ireland) to shiver in fear. He doesn't want anyone to have seen that he has just murdered his wife and now wants desperately to find this unwanted witness. Somebody else really knows what he did, and it's his neighbor, Amy Nelson (Crawford).
This is the spooky film – made in the days well before star 69 and Caller ID – that a generation of parents hoped would cure teens from ever making another prank call again, but instead spawned another generation of teen horror films like “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
