Review Summary and Plot Commentary about High Noon
This Fred Zinneman western classic is about a man who as the captions said "was too proud to run". Will Kane (Gary Cooper), the town marshal is doing his last day of duty and is scheduled to take the noon train out of town along with his newly wed (Grace Kelly). However, news reaches him that a man he had indicted years ago was coming back to town with the sole intention of getting the marshal. Although the townsfolk advise him to let it go and leave town, Kane is not one to turn his back on this confrontation.
