Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Blue Sky
Jessica Lang plays a Sexy and mentally unstable wife and mother. She moves with her military husband and two daughters to an Army base in Alabama. She flirts seductively with his superior. Her husband, played by Tommy Lee Jones, tries to reign in his uncontrollable wife. He is immediately sent away for two weeks by his commanding officer played by Powers Boothe. While he is gone, the girls get into trouble with boys, and even blow up part of the base, under the guidance of their self involved mother. Without the fathers presence the family begins to fall apart as she becomes increasingly absent and erratic. A subplot revolves around nuclear testing and fears of radiation.
