| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Joshua's Heart |
Joshua, a 10 year old, struggles with his father's promiscuous heartbreaking lifestyle. He finally finds happiness and a mother figure, when he meets his father's newest girlfriend, Claudia, played by Melissa Gilbert. Josh's father, played by Tim Mateson, breaks up with Claudia, after she and the boy have closely bonded. Lonely Joshua can't understand why he has to lose the one person he feels understands him. Young Josh contacts the authorities in an attempt to be adopted by Claudia. The family's struggles ensue as a social worker closely examines Joshua's situation. Then the plot thickens as Joshua's young mother steps back into the scene hoping to get custody of him.
