| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about What a Girl Wants |
A 17-year-old girl heads to Great Britain to find her long lost father, an English diplomat who had a relationship with her mother long ago. The movie centers around the amusing behavior of this very American girl in the middle of a "proper" British society. There is also a side plot in that the girl's father is engaged to an evil woman with a bratty daughter about the same age as the main character, both of whom are trying to thwart her attempts to establish a relationship with her father. The girl also develops a relationship with a local musician.
