| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Shattered |
Architect Dan Merrick (Berenger) finds himself suffering from amnesia and facial injuries after being in a terrible car accident in the mountains that almost claimed his life. As he begins to recover and heal, his wife Judith (Scacchi) tries to help him put the pieces of his tattered life back together. However he soon begins to find discrepancies in regards to the things he is told about his former life, by his wife, his business partner Jeb Scott (Bernsen) and Jeb's wife Jenny (Whalley). The two couples had socialized together on a regular basis before Dan's accident. Having nothing but unfounded suspicions to go on, Dan hires private investigator/ pet store owner, Gus Klein (Hoskins) to unravel the mystery of his pre-accident past. Gus is not a stranger to Dan. He had hired him once before, to investigate an alleged affair he believed his wife to be having. (This movie is based on the novel by Richard Neely)
