| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Robin Hood |
Disney's Robin Hood tries to make the internationally popular British legend accessable for children and turns all of the characters into animals. Robin Hood and Maid Marian are foxes, Little John is a bear (who looks similar to 'The Jungle Book's' Baloo), Prince John is a maneless Lion and the Sheriff of Nottingham is a wolf. Various other animals from the animal kingdom play the other parts.
The story features the Prince's archery contest where Robin Hood enters in disguise and unsurprisingly wins.
Like all Disney films and animation it has all the key elements, a good story, good memorable characters, action, comedy and moving soundtracks.
